# Limits

Rate limits and concurrency caps for agents.

These limits apply to agent credentials (OAuth tokens and API keys), not to people using the Sigment app.

| Tool calls | 120 per user per minute | Tool error, retry after a minute |
| `search_creators` | 60 per user per hour | Tool error |
| Requests in flight | A few per token and 8 tool calls per user | `429` with `Retry-After` |
| Active discoveries | 3 per workspace | "Too many active jobs": wait for them |
| Active analyses | 5 per workspace | "Too many active jobs": wait for them |
| Agent spend | 200 credits per workspace per UTC day | "Daily agent spend cap reached" |
| Platform busy | Agent work pauses briefly when many jobs are running | "Sigment is busy": retry in a few minutes |

Input bounds keep every call small: up to 50 handles per analysis, 100 usernames per list update, 20 creators per discovery subtopic and `max_credits` ≤ 1000.

Call tools one at a time and let `wait_for_job` do the waiting. Parallel polling only uses up the limits faster.
